The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), attached to the Turkish Ministry of the Interior, stated in a report that 31,643 people were confirmed dead and 158,165 others were injured in the ten provinces struck by the earthquakes.
The information highlighted that more than 2,700 aftershocks were recorded since the first earthquake.
Nearly 35,500 search and rescue workers, including more than 9,700 from other countries, are working in the area.
The Turkish authorities created an air bridge to move personnel and aid to the nation, and 26 ships were assigned to the region to support tasks, transfer people and material, and evacuate the wounded.
On the other hand, more than 200,000 tents, two million blankets, 334 mobile kitchens to provide food and other support systems have been sent to the affected provinces to support survivors.
Data from the Civil Defense stated that this death toll added to more than 4,500 deaths in Syria, including 1,414 in government-controlled areas and some 3,160 in rebel-held areas.
