The bulk of sales in the first month of 2023 corresponded to agriculture, with 1.7 billion dollars; even though the figure represents a fall of 13 percentage points compared to the same period in 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development stated.
Timber and derived articles contributed 1.1 billion dollars, a 30 percent drop, while in the case of fishery products, sales abroad totaled 600 million dollars, almost 31 percent less than in January 2022.
In the case of livestock, the Ministry stated, exports amounted to 30 million dollars, registering a year-on-year increase of 14 percentage points. jrr/iff/jf/mpm
