Education Minister Ena Elsa Velazquez explained that the event is an opportunity to analyze the issues that concern all nations in the post-Covid-19 context.
Among the main topics for debate are the challenges of learning in the education of children and young people and promoting the use of science and innovation for teachers, she said.
Velazquez added that the meeting would also address educational issues of interest to the Group’s member countries and enhance ties of cooperation and solidarity.
She stressed that it is Cuba’s first event during its pro tempore presidency of the Group of 77 plus China.
The “Pedagogy 2023” Congress is taking place in Havana until Thursday when teachers, researchers, trade unionists, and officials from some 20 countries are participating.
