A note published on the official website of the Presidency of that body, after concluding a meeting a few hours ago, reiterates “the decision adopted by the Minister of justice, the will of non reconciliation with those who use violence and threats as an instrument of political struggle.”
The attacks occurred on January 27 on the Italian General Consulate in Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, by individuals who damaged the building, and the Italian Embassy in Berlin, Germany, where a car was set on fire, were discussed during Monday´s contact.
Those hostilities took place almost two months after another one perpetrated in Athens, the capital of Greece, in December 2022, on the residence of Susanna Schlein, councilor of the Italian embassy in that country, in which one of her cars was set on fire.
The investigations indicate in all three cases the responsibility of anarchists in favor of Alfredo Cospito, one of the international leaders of that movement, who is imprisoned in Italy and is on a hunger strike that is affecting his health.
