In the dispatch to President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, published on the official Kremlin channel, Putin expressed the desire of strengthening bilateral relationships in all directions.
According to the head of state, this joint effort responds to the fundamental interests of the friendly peoples of Russia and India.
He also highlighted India’s achievements in the economic, social, scientific and technological fields, among others, as well as its contribution to the international stability and security and the treatment of important issues in regional and global agendas.
“I wholeheartedly wish good health, success, happiness and well-being to all Indian citizens,” the president added in his message.
Republic Day is celebrated in India because on January 26, 1950 the country was proclaimed a sovereign Republic.
