El-Sisi will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, which will include five ministers and other senior officials.
A military contingent from the Egyptian army will also take part in the Republic Day parade, a public holiday in India to celebrate the date the country’s Constitution came into force, January 26th, 1950.
The President of Egypt will hold a delegation-level meeting and talks with Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, on bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual concern, and will be received by Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, in addition to interacting with the Indian business community at a business event.
El-Sisi had previously visited India in October 2015 as participant in the 3rd India-Africa Forum Summit and in September 2016 for a state visit.
India and Egypt enjoy warm and friendly relations marked by civil, cultural and economic ties, as well as deeply rooted interpersonal ties.
Both countries celebrate this year the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
