According to Syrian media reports, Abdollahian and Sousan debated on developments concerning the present situation in Syria and regionally, two-way strategic relations as well as the avenues to develop them in several fields.

Both leaders said it is pivotal to strengthen relations ahead of challenges faced by the two countries from blockade and unjust sanctions imposed.

The Syrian official expressed Damascus’ thanks for Iran´s full support and reiterated its stance on backing Tehran ahead of the hostile Western campaign.

While the Iranian minister considered that both his country and Syria are on the same boat ahead of Western plans and attempts of foreign intervention in the region.
