With no medical report since December 21, the latest news indicates that Pelé, 82, has been hospitalized at the Albert Einstein Health Center in Sao Paulo since November 29, with no discharge expected.

It was reported that the silence about his physical condition responds to a request made by the family members of the eternal number 10 player of the Brazilian national team.

This athlete, revered as the best soccer player in history, was admitted in this health institution with anasarca (generalized swelling) and edemigemica syndrome (excess fluid between tissues that causes edema throughout the body), while undergoing treatment for colon cancer.

He was diagnosed with this disease in September 2021. This is one of the most common illnesses in Brazil and is characterized by the presence of a malignant tumor in the large intestine.

Due to this condition, he was hospitalized in February 2022 and on November 29 he was admitted to Einstein Hospital again for a reevaluation of the chemotherapy method.
