“What happened in Iran was a hybrid war involving the news system and terrorist operations, as well as foreign political and intelligence agencies,” Jarazi remarked.
The international affairs expert assured that according to the Western narrative, Tehran was the scene of riots and conflicts, but it is not like that; in fact, such perception was created by foreign medias and intelligence agencies to undermine Iran’s image.
“This war was planned in advance and was waiting for a spark”, he said; “they managed to generate riots and acts of vandalism and illegally smuggle weapons into Iran from Iran’s western borders.”
Jarazi recalled that the tragic death of a 22-year-old Iranian girl by the name of Mahsa Amini on September 16th in a Tehran hospital after her police arrest, was used as a pretext by the enemies of Iran so as to organize the riots.
In line with previous statements by his government, Jarazi recalled that “the protest is the right of all citizens and that Iranians must also have this right.” However, he emphasized the difference in the particular case of Iran, adding that “riots are a different category and no country allows the security of its territory to be threatened or state of disorder to break out, as it will have to stop public violence with authority.”
The government also denounced the support of the riots by some European countries, United States and Israel, the hybrid war strategy (a combination of media, political, and economic warfare) to destabilize the country and disintegrate it.
