Iranian officials stated that the country’s security is a red line and criticized Berlin’s hypocritical declarations about the Iranian government’s response to the riots, according to the Hispantv news network.
Iran expressed its strong protest at the “unacceptable intervention” of the German government in its internal affairs, and its “misleading positions” regarding the legitimate confrontation of the Islamic Republic against terrorism and violence.
During the meeting, the Islamic Republic recalled that Germany had a dark past with the sale of arms to the dictatorial regime of Saddam Hussein during the war imposed against Iran (1980-1988) and its participation in anti-Iranian sanctions.
According to local authorities, this is a compelling argument as to why Germany is not in a position to criticize human rights situation in Iran.
On several occasions, Iran sent summons to the German ambassador in protest against the interventionist attitudes of Berlin in support of the chaos in the country.
In recent weeks, hooligans, supported by Western countries, have taken advantage of the death of a 22-year-old Iranian girl in mid-September, violating public order, causing riots and attacks against security forces.
