Díaz-Canel offered his deepest condolences for Zemin´s death, a prominent statesman, outstanding communist and defender of socialism in China.
The Cuban leader added that the Cuban people and government will never forget Zemin´s exceptional political and human qualities, who became president and first secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Jiang Zemin passed away in November 30 in Shanghai at the age of 96, due to leukemia and failure of several vital organs.
On December 6, the funeral ceremony was held at the People’s Palace in Beijing.
