In a communique, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed concern over the situation in the West Bank, where four Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire on Thursday.
The text recalls that more than 200 Palestinians have been killed by the actions of the neighboring nation’s security forces this year.
The situation threatens to cause further violence and bloodshed, the Foreign Ministry stated.
We urge the international community to assume its responsibilities to calm the situation and to create an environment conducive to fostering a renewed peace process, it stressed.
On Thursday, the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation,in separate communiqués, condemned the new Israeli aggressions.
