During the meeting, the leaders of the EAEU expect to discuss creating a common gas market and establishing an interdepartmental council in the energy sector, the Russian president’s office stated on Friday.
During the meetings, they will also address further integration within the Union and develop a single market of services.
As planned, the Summit will also adopt a package of documents and approve the main directions of the EAEU’s international activities for 2023.
In addition to the general meeting, Putin plans to hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Summit, including Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
It will be the second session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council this year. The previous event was held,on May 27, via video conference, under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan.
The Eurasian Economic Union emerged in Astana on May 29, 2014. It comprises Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia, while Uzbekistan, Moldova, and Cuba have the status of observers.
