Santa Clara, Cuba. Nov 9 (Prensa Latina) The 1st Latin American and Caribbean Youth Brigade in Solidarity with Cuba ended its visit to the Cuban province of Villa Clara with a volunteer work at the Domestic Utensils Production Industry (INPUD).

The group, made up of young people from Chile, Bolivia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Honduras and Venezuela, carried out sanitizing work in exterior areas of the factory, inaugurated in 1961 by the then Commander Ernesto Che Guevara, when he was Minister of Industries in Cuba.

The brigade members toured the workshops where electric fans, pressure food cookers, blenders, and other utensils are manufactured and subsequently distributed in the national commercial network.

Julieta Herrera, from the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, told Prensa Latina that she values the performance of Cuban workers, who stoically face the cruel US blockade against the nation, as very positive.

Puerto Rican Ana Maris Jimenez considered the phrase that Cuba and Puerto Rico are “two wings of a bird” to be highly accurate, and pointed out that both countries, suffering from the same empire, call for a united struggle.

Bolivian lawyer Vladimir Ochoa stressed that since he arrived in Cuba he has perceived a high level of socialist consciousness that makes it possible to unify bonds of fraternal friendship under real relations. “That allows us to raise and capture the feeling of humanity as the greatest contribution. I depart (Cuba) transformed with a feeling of humanity and habits to fight for just causes,” he said.

The delegation also visited a series of historical and cultural places in the city of Santa Clara.
