The organization supporting Cuba and its Revolution ratified its position regarding the presentation and debate in the UN General Assembly, this Wednesday, of a new draft resolution on the need to end the blockade, similar to the one overwhelmingly supported in the last 30 years.
For France Cuba, it is important to insist that the blockade against Cuba is still in full application, as is Cuba’s resistance.
“Cuba remains firm, with a resistance that is only possible thanks to the unity of a people closely linked to its independence, despite misinformation, isolation attempts, destabilization actions and sanctions,” he stressed in a statement shared with Prensa Latina.
The French association repudiated the tightening of the blockade by the United States in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic and recognized Cuba’s response, capable in these circumstances of developing its own vaccines to protect its population.
France Cuba expressed confidence in the victory in the vote at the United Nations on the draft resolution submitted for debate. However, he assured that he does not expect changes in the short and medium term in the hostility of the United States towards Cuba, considering that Washington has ignored year after year since 1992 the almost unanimous support for the call in the UN to lift the blockade.
