70 thousand civilians were evacuated from the city of Kherson

Civiles-ucrania
Moscow, Nov 1 (Prensa Latina) The governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, reported that some 70,000 inhabitants of the right bank of the Dnieper River, in that territory under Russian control, were evacuated to the left bank.

Saldo stated this Tuesday on the Soloviov Live TV channel that these people are already in safe places and have been provided with the necessary conditions for their well-being.

He went on to add that many of the evacuees prefer to go to different regions of Russia because they have relatives or people who could help them.

On his behalf, deputy governor of the Kherson region, Kiril Stremousov, indicated that residents of the municipalities on the left bank have already begun being evacuated and that they were included in an expanded evacuation plan established on Monday.

On October 18th, Vladimir Saldo announced that civilians in the west-bank part of Kherson would be evacuated to the left bank due to the threat of flooding should the Ukrainian military attacked the Kakhovka dam.
