In a statement to which Prensa Latina had access, the sports organization denounced the hostile actions that Washington has enforced against Cuba for more than 60 years, as a suffocation mechanism and to try to isolate a small country from the global geopolitical map.
“We want to express our support for the people of Cuba in their heroic struggle against the aggressive policy of the United States,” the text states.
Likewise, the members of the Club established a parallel between the sanctions that the West imposes on Moscow, with what Cuba has experienced to date, and in this regard, they called for strengthening the ties between the two countries in defense of the peoples’ independence and self-determination.
On the occasion of the upcoming vote at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the organization of Russian karateists highlighted the need for international unity to achieve the consolidation of multilateralism, where each nation has full rights without impediments from those who believe they own of the world.
On November 2 and 3, the UNGA will host for the thirtieth time the presentation, debate and vote on a text that establishes the necessity to end the US blockade.
