Air alerts and strong explosions in almost all of Ukraine

Kiev, Oct 31 (Prensa Latina) The Ukrainian Government on Monday decreed for the third consecutive week the air alert in the capital and 19 other regions of the country and reported at the same time strong explosions in several cities.

The authorities informed on Telegram this Monday that in addition to the capital, the sirens were also activated in Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Dniepropetrovsk, Sumy, Odesa, in the regions of Donetsk and Zaporozhie controlled by Kiev.

The western Ukrainian regions of Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Ternopil also declared an air alert.

Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that three strong detonations were heard in the central districts of Goloseyevsky and Shevchenkovsky, while lots of smoke could be seen in the capital’s sky.

Meanwhile, Igor Terekhov, governor of Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, said that two explosions occurred at a critical infrastructure facility on Monday, the electricity supply was cut off, and the subway stopped working.

Since October 10, Russia has been carrying out massive air strikes with high-precision missiles and drones against Ukrainian General Staff command centers, communications infrastructure, and energy facilities in retaliation for terrorist attacks by the Ukrainian regime.

Russia then warned Kiev that it would respond harshly to any attempts to perpetrate terrorist attacks on its territory.
