The deputy secretary general of the organization, Saeed Abu Ali, condemned the new operations conducted by Israeli forces, which killed six people and wounded more than twenty on Tuesday.
The official made these statements during a preparatory meeting for the 31st summit of the Arab League, to be held soon in Algeria.
A week ago, Abu Ali denounced Israeli attacks on the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and warned against such a strategy as it will destabilize the region.
He also held the government of Israel directly responsible “for its continuous violations and crimes.”
“The serious violations practiced by Tel Aviv constitute a flagrant defiance of the will of the international community and the resolutions of the UN Security Council,” he stressed.
He also criticized the collective punishments and abuses applied by the army against West Bank cities and towns and condemned the extrajudicial killings and executions, arrests, house demolitions and road blocks.
