According to a statement from the Defense Ministry of Syria, the missiles were fired from northern Israel, and the air defense shot down most them.
The statement added that the damage was only material and very limited.
Images released by the official SANA agency showed a rocket fired from anti-aircraft systems intercepting one from Israel, in the sky over Damascus.
Tel Aviv has launched 27 attacks against Syria so far this year, the most recent last Monday, causing injuries to a soldier and material damage.
Syria urged the Security Council of the United Nations to issue a public condemnation of the constant aggressions by Israel that directly threaten regional and international peace and security.
Syria emphasized that these incursions open the door widely for further tensions, escalations and chaos in the region.
