The confidence placed by China in Xi to assume for the third time “the titanic responsibility” of leading his country to new levels of development, represents a living expression of his successful leadership during the past decade, a statement said.

President Nicolas Maduro, on behalf of the Venezuelan people, reaffirmed in the document the commitment to continue promoting close relations of cooperation, communication and coordination “between our parties.”

This has the purpose of providing greater well-being to both peoples, and contributing, in turn, to the strengthening of the China-Venezuela Comprehensive Strategic Association.

In the text, Maduro ratified the most sincere friendship that unites the two nations, with the conviction that the People’s Republic of China “will continue to advance and fulfill its noble objectives, under the wise leadership of Comrade Xi Jinping.”
