In a speech before national and foreign reporters, the president promised the continuity and reinforcement of both this strategy and the reforms of laws and institutions and recalled the socioeconomic benefits achieved since their implementation more than 40 years ago.
“The Chinese economy has great resilience and potential, its strong fundamentals will not change and it will follow a positive path,” he assured after being reelected General Secretary of the Communist Party (CPCh) and leader of other important bodies.
Xi also pledged to work with the international community to promote peace, justice, security, and a more inclusive model of progress and cooperation.
On the other hand, he pointed out that the CPCh will always seek to renew itself while leading the people toward realizing the aspirations of modernity in all aspects.
“A political party can only be invincible if it remains faithful to self-reform, even if it has had a glorious past,” he said, highlighting the dynamism and vigor of that group.
Xi called on CPCh members to be alert and prudent in the face of future challenges, work hard for the people, and realize their dreams of a better life.
