Israeli troops killed a young Palestinian in Jenin strike

Ramallah, Oct 21 (Prensa Latina) Israeli troops killed a 19-year-old Palestinian during the umpteenth attack on the northern West Bank city of Jenin this year, the Ministry of Health reported on Friday.

Salah al-Braiki died from a gunshot wound during a military operation on Thursday evening, the Ministry stated in a communique.

Local sources told Wafa news agency that the soldiers raided several buildings and deployed snipers on their roofs, which led to clashes with the residents.

Considered a stronghold of the Palestinian militias, Jenin has been the epicenter of almost daily attacks by Tel Aviv’s army since early 2022.

In recent months, Israeli forces intensified their raids in West Bank, which, in turn, led to an increase in Palestinian response attacks.

UN acting humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territory Lucia Elmi denounced this week that 2022 has been the deadliest year in West Bank since 2006.
