Turkish army resumes shelling of three Syrian provinces

Siria-Bombardeos-Turcos
Damascus, Oct 5 (Prensa Latina) Turkish forces attacked several towns in the Syrian provinces of Hasakeh, Raqa and Aleppo, in the north and northeast of the country, using artillery and rockets, the media reported.

The city of Abu Raseen and the towns of Um Haramleh, Dadabdal, Khadrawi and Nweh in Hasakeh were bombed by Turkish regular forces and extremist groups operating under their orders, the official SANA agency reported.

The attacks caused material losses in homes and properties, and dozens of civilians were forced to flee for safer areas.

Local sources quoted by the al-Watan diary reported that the towns of Harbal and Soughanieh in the north of Aleppo were left depopulated after the flight of their residents as a result of the intense bombardment with heavy artillery by the Turkish military.

A Turkish warplane conducted an airstrike against alleged positions of Kurdish militias, described as terrorists by Ankara, in towns and strips in Ain Al-Arab and Manbej.

Similar attacks were launched at Ain Issa and Tal Abyad in northern Raqqa causing massive displacement and disruption of traffic on the M4 highway for more than seven hours.

The Turkish military recently escalated its bombardment against northern Syria after repeated declarations from Ankara on an offensive aimed at controlling a 30-kilometer-deep border strip in the territory of the country.
