On Twitter, the Cuban foreign minister thanked Chinese people and governments for their solidarity and support during confrontation with the Covid-19 pandemic and following the Matanzas death-dealing fire on August 5.

During a friendly meeting between Rodriguez and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, both officials heaped praise on the excellent bilateral ties and the high level of agreement and mutual support on the international agenda issues.

Previously, the Cuban foreign minister and his Honduran counterpart Enrique Reina expressed their willingness to strengthen ties and reiterated their interest in the development of economic, trade and cooperation relations in common areas.
