The Cuban president made reference to the phrase of the Commander in Chief when he recognized the impact of technology in the contemporary world: “The society that is unprepared for the use of computing is liquidated.”

Díaz-Canel also tweeted that that “unforgettable day, I saw my dreams in his words and in reality.”

The Prime Minister of Cuba, Manuel Marrero, also tweeted congratulations to the workers of the Youth Clubs on occasion of the anniversary of “The computer of the Cuban families.”

Fidel Castro’s idea had the goal of contributing to the socialization and computerization of Cuban society and proposed to contribute extensively to the knowledge of computer and electronic techniques.
