The deputy head of the Antillean Ministry of Agriculture (Minag), Maury Hechavarría, thanked the donation of machinery and materials for planting chickpeas during the meeting with representatives rom the Eurasian country.
Meanwhile, the first deputy minister of the Mincex, Ana Teresita González, highlighted the existing friendship ties between both nations, and the will to continue strengthening mutual cooperation.
The Turkish ambassador to Cuba, Vehbi Esgel Etensel, and the director of the office of the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA) in Mexico, Fatih Abdi Cetin, entity that made the donation possible, participated in the exchange.
Minag specialists underlined the usefulness of the modern technology offered to the island, where they highlight a Mahindra tractor (model 9500), an agricultural cutter, a Famaq pneumatic precision seeder (model SN-40) and irrigation systems for one hectare.
TIKA is a cooperation mechanism for state institutions and organizations, universities, non-profit organizations and the private sector, and functions as a platform for Türkiye’s development aid.
