GOPers fear for election losses after FBI search at Trump´s house

Washington, Aug 29 (Prensa Latina) Disclosures on former President Donald Trump's handling of some most sensitive documents of the U.S. government has increased Republicans´ fear for possible losses in coming November midterm elections.

GOPers lashed out at FBI´s search at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence for classified documents he took with no authorization from the White House, considered as a politically-motivated case.

Republicans now prefer to remain silent after releasing the public affidavit justifying FBI´s raid at Trump’s Florida mansion.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) released on Friday the redacted text that allowed FBI to search.

Local media reported there is still no clarity on charges the 45th President could be facing for taking dozens of top secret files that, according to experts, would endanger the country´s national security.

DOJ’s disclosure, ordered by Judge Bruce Reinhart for the Southern District of Florida, put into perspective why there is so much concern about these documents, according to La Opinión.

Even the Chairman of Senate Intelligence Committee Mark Warner (D-Va.), warned about risk posed to the country the amount of top secret information found so far in Trump’s possession.

For this and other causes, if until recently observers referred to a possible “red wave” on November 8, they now moved their forecasts towards the Blue Party.

“Donald Trump has turned this campaign from a referendum on Joe Biden, inflation, high food and gas prices and affordable housing into a referendum on him,” according to Rick Tyler, a Republican strategist and analyst.

The environment doesn’t seem “even close” to an election in which a “red wave” might prevail, he said.

RealClearPolitics averages showed the GOPers´ lead went from 4.8 points at the end of April to less than a point as of last Friday.

According to electoral experts, current forecast of the Red Party’s seats in the House of Representatives went from 15 to 30 seats to 10 to 20.
