Cuba hosts World Caravan against US blockade

Caravana-mundial-contra-bloqueo
Havana, Aug 28 (Prensa Latina) Cuban authorities highlight a new world caravan on Sunday to end the blockade imposed by the United States on the Caribbean nation.

On her Twitter account, Deputy Foreign Minister Anayansi Camejo praised holding Caravans and pointed out that these activities are an example of solidarity with Cuban families.

The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) tweeted that “the US blockade against Cuba continues harming the Cubans and hindering the economic and social development of the nation.”

Meanwhile, Ernesto Soberon, director general of the Division of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad at the Foreign Ministry, pointed out that solidarity for the Cuban people is “unstoppable,” as successive international days evidenced.

Organized by the Bridges of Love solidarity project, the caravans against the US blockade take place on the last weekend of each month in several countries.

Their demand consists of asking President Joe Biden to lift all sanctions against Cuba and end the unilateral blockade imposed by successive governments in the White House, both Democrats or Republicans.
