Defense Minister Benny Gantz ratified on Wednesday evening that three non-governmental organizations were labeled as terrorist groups, after they were accused of being linked to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), and later, the military forces launched an operation against them on early Thursday.
Tel Aviv describes the PFLP as terrorist, which the party that claims to fight for independence of its people against the Israeli occupation, rejects.
Following the order, the military forces raided the headquarters of the Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, the Bisan Center for Research and Development, the Al-Haq Foundation and the International Defense for Children.
The Association for the Rights of the Child, the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees and the Union of Agricultural Committees were also ransacked.
For its part, the network of Palestinian civil organizations condemned the assault, while it called for immediate action to stop the Israeli attacks.
