“As a result of coordinated efforts by Russian FSB operatives in the cities of Dzhankoi and Yalta, an underground cell of a terrorist organization consisting of six Russian citizens was neutralized,” the security agency told TASS news agency.
The FSB explained that the investigations showed that the members of the group were recruiting Russian Muslim citizens at clandestine meetings, in coordination with Hizb ut-Tahrir emissaries based in Ukraine.
They added that during the operation, authorities seized communication equipment, propaganda materials and digital storage devices.
The Federal Security Service also reported that a judicial process has been initiated, while the investigation continues.
