“We´ve informed the US government of the situation on the front and Ukraine’s needs for weapons and war material. We´ve also highlighted the US contribution to Ukraine’s military defense,” Yermak posted on Telegram.
Yermak reported that the Ukraine government´s representatives held talks by phone with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley.
Back in July, Washington announced a new military assistance package for Kyiv worth $820 million which includes extra ammunition for Himars multiple rocket launcher systems, two Norwegian Nasams anti-aircraft missile systems, 150,000 150-millimeter artillery shells as well as four counter-battery radars.
After the start of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, many countries condemned the operation and supported Kyiv by sending weapon supplies, donations, humanitarian aid and imposing sanctions against Moscow.
In this regard, the Russian authorities stressed that all weapons from the West arriving in Ukraine will be targeted by the Russian Armed Forces.
