Moscow, Jul 16 (Prensa Latina) The Moscow Mayor's Office informed on Saturday that since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, 26,000 people and 71 organizations have joined to send 832,9 tons of humanitarian aid to Donbass.

Ekaterina Dragunova, chairwoman of the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy in the city of Moscow, wrote on her Telegram account that more than 6,500 people have joined the volunteer corps of the Moscow Aid program.

Dragunova added that for the distribution of basic items, they have support from the Russian Red Cross and the main directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Moscow.

“The humanitarian aid is delivered in the regions of Rostov, Voronezh, Volgograd, Belgorod, Bryansk, Astrakhan, Leningrad, Tula, Vladimir, Ryazan, Yaroslavl, Kaluga, the Moscow region, the Republic of Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory and Sevastopol,” she added.

The #MoscowHelps campaign began in late February, following Russia’s military operation on Ukrainian territory in order to protect the population of Donbass from Kiev’s abuses and genocide over the past eight years, as well as to “demilitarize” and “denazify” Ukraine.
