According to the organizers, the operations aimed to share experiences and skills, deepen the friendly relations between the two armies and promote the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership of their governments.
On Sunday, Chinese navy spokesperson Liu Wensheng said that the Sea Guardians-2 drills also aimed to jointly confront security challenges and strengthen defense collaboration.
The navies of China and Pakistan conducted similar operations in recent years and since 2020, they began calling it Sea Guardians, in which Beijing used missile destroyers, supply ships and rescue submarines.
These maneuvers follow a meeting held in Qingdao last month between senior officers of both armies that served as an opportunity to ratify the will to strengthen communication, pragmatic cooperation and the bilateral exchanges.
