According to the daily report from the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), all molecular biology laboratories in Cuba made 2,387 PCR tests in real time on Tuesday to detect the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
Of 174 active cases reported nationwide, 171 are clinically stable, while three patients are being treated in intensive care units: two in a critical condition and one who is seriously ill.
At a press briefing on television, MINSAP added that 41 patients were discharged after recovering from the disease, so the total number of recovered patients rose to 1,097,478. So far, Cuba has accumulated 1,106,240 contagions since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country in March 2020.
According to the official report, the death toll remains at 8,529.
