The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement condemning “the expansionist colonial interests” of Israel, as well as its crimes and violations.
As it stated, successive Israeli governments often resort to a series of miserable justifications to break international resolutions and refuse to return to negotiations.
The failure of the international community to implement the current norms constitutes a cover for the violations committed during the occupation and encourages Israel to deepen the gradual annexation of the occupied Palestinian territories, it said.
The ministry criticized Israel’s strategy of Judaization and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, as well as Washington’s backing of Tel Aviv, and considered that international silence “allows Israel to gain more time to implement its colonial plans.”
Last week the Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on the White House to exert real pressure on its ally to force him to stop its crimes.
