The therapy brought about a change for a better “sexual symptoms, libido, severe symptom, delayed verbal recall, and overall quality of life among people suffering from poorly-controlled Ttype 2 diabetes and hypogonadism,” the Journal of the Endocrine Society reported.
Both sexual and emotional well-being were also significantly improved, and a better physical health and overall positive transformation were also noted.
“These results will be evidence base for GPs and endocrinologists to proactively ask their diabetes patients about symptoms at their regular health visits, and properly investigate and diagnose hypogonadism,” the scientists said.
Testosterone treatment was proposed by experts as safe, but must be carefully controlled.
