Iran regrets pronouncements by UN atomic agency

jefe-de-la-Organización-de-Energía-Nuclear-de-Irán,-Mohamad-Eslami
Tehran, Jun 17 (Prensa Latina) Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, on Friday regretted the pronouncements by the UN Atomic Agency against his country, based on alleged evidence provided by Israel.

Eslami said that despite that Iran represents three percent of the world’s nuclear capacity, it allowed 25 percent of the inspections carried out globally, according to a report by HispanTV.

He stated that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) relies on documents provided by Israel, “a regime that has never allowed an international inspection of its nuclear facilities.”

He stated that the recent resolution by the IAEA Board of Governors is a continuation of the failed policy of maximum pressure.

Eslami noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran remains firm in its willingness to work together with the global body and will continue cooperation with the UN International Atomic Energy Agency.
