Cuba has vaccinated almost 10 million people against Covid-19

Havana, Jun 12 (Prensa Latina) Cuba continued its progress in the Covid-19 vaccination campaign using drugs of its own making and reported 9,968,481 people, 90 percent of the population, who have completed the vaccination program.

Cuba has administered 37,690,627 doses of the Soberana-02, Soberana Plus and Abdala domestic made vaccines, according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Public Health.

Authorized specialists applied at least the first injection to 10,674,498 citizens, including those convalescing from Covid-19, using a single dose of Plus.

Of the total, 9,412,858 have had the second dose applied, and 9,114,034 have received the third, as per the report of the Ministry.

The booster vaccination (a fourth injection) is yet another index in which Cuba has maintained an increase, with reports that 7,314,648 individuals received it in selected territories and risk groups.

Figures from the statistics site of the British University of Oxford, Our World in Data, ratify Cuba in first place in average doses administered daily per 100 inhabitants, with 331.76, followed by Chile (301.49), Emirates United Arab (242.89), Singapore (259.44), China (234.61), Brazil (208.77), United States (177.84), Bangladesh (163.10), Mexico (160.16), and Indonesia (150.3).
