Dr. Sosa told Prensa Latina News Agency about both Cuban experts´ participation in activities organized from June 3 to 5, on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the University of Padua.
Within the framework of this celebration, an event was held under the slogan: “The science of the world to come. From science fiction dreams to global challenges: what awaits us tomorrow?
The lectures, Dr. Valdés Sosa said, were held at the Aula Magna of the University of Padua, a place of historical significance in which Galileo Galilee presented his scientific theories.
On June 3, Dr. Vérez addressed Cuba´s home-grown Covid-19 vaccine issue. His lecture on Cuba’s breakthroughs in this field was of great interest among attendees.
Dr. Valdés Sosa pointed out that his intervention, the next day, dealt with health problems presented by US diplomats in Cuba during the years 2016 and 2017, which motivated a strong media campaign about alleged sonic attacks.
“Both in Padua and Livorno, I met with colleagues with whom we worked for introducing hearing aid technologies in Cuba, an initiative to help, first of all, children who really need them,” Mr. Valdés Sosa said.
Research cooperation in neuroscience field between Cuban and European centers, including the Italian ones, is very good, since we have been facing up the same problems, which brings us closer.
