The presentation of the Destination Cuba was in charge of Xonia Beltrán, tourist adviser of the embassy of the island, and the campaign was explained with slides and a video clip by Eric Santos González, deputy director of Marketing of the MinTur.
Officials from the main tourism agencies of the Antillean country also intervened, including Cubanacán, Cubatur, Gaviota and others.
Representatives of travel agencies in Mexico, hotel groups, business groups, wholesale and retail tour operators, and specialized journalists in the sector, learned first-hand about the plans and projects in the drive to reactivate the various types of plans offered by the MinTur after two years of low tourism due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Both Beltrán and Santos González explained the characteristics of the different Cuban destinations, both on the main island and on the famous keys, and the practice of specialties ranging from adventure tourism, sun, beach, mountains, archeology and foals, to the health one, highly demanded by visitors and operators.
The presentation was attended by the Cuban ambassador to Mexico, Marcos Rodríguez, officials from the diplomatic headquarters and Cuban business representatives in this country.
