Venezuela advocates for a free and quality healthcare

Caracas, May 27 (Prensa Latina) The Venezuelan Executive on Friday advocates for providing a free and quality healthcare service, as part of the strategy to strengthen the People's Power, through the recently implemented Good Government program.

“We must guarantee supervision, inspection, in addition to replenishing medicines and materials in hospitals so that our people have a free, public, universal and quality healthcare,” President Nicolas Maduro said about this issue.

During a working day dedicated to the Report of the Health Sector in Carabobo State on Thursday, the head of State ordered an exhaustive supervision in the country’s all hospitals, “the fundamental is the good management and the good management is to supervise at all times, look for solutions and coordinate the Healthcare Committees and the Communal Councils.”

The president pointed out that the hospitals must have warehouses and pharmacies in order to guarantee a healthcare system “that works impeccably, and the industrial sectors that produce medicines help the Venezuelan people.”

Health Minister Magaly Gutierrez announced that 371 cases were received in the control command rooms in these first five days of the Good Government program.

They were classified in four categories: community cases, cases of lack of medical supplies, infrastructure cases and individual cases.
