Diosenis Machado, head of the department of relations with the National Assembly of People’s Power (Parliament, ANPP) in the Governorate, explained that eight work commissions and members of the secretariat of that body will tour, until May 20, six of the 13 Matanzas municipalities.
Machado explained to Prensa Latina that among the issues to be assessed are the local economy, food production and marketing, confrontation with Covid-19, public transportation, the postal system, local development projects, and budget execution, among them. .
The official explained that the tours will include cooperatives, polyclinics, hospitals, grandparents’ homes, and exchanges with district delegates, presidents of popular councils, producers and municipal work commissions.
“They will also evaluate the ANPP agreements that have to do with the territory and the measures to confront illegalities,” she added.
Machado considered that the visit “is going to give us a lot of experience in control, how administrative activity is controlled from the government, as well as the responses to the proposals of the voters.”
I believe that this work system of the ANPP, she expressed, offers a vision from the direct exchange with the population, on the transformations carried out in the communities.
“This meeting of Parliament is very important, and Matanzas can also contribute,” said
