“Fraternal relations between the two countries are confirmed”, expressed in a message on Twitter Cuban Ambassador Alberto Gonzalez in reporting the event and showing a photo of both officials shaking hands cordially.
Cabrisas arrived on Friday in this capital on an official visit heading the Caribbean island’s delegation to the 18th Session of the Iran-Cuba Intergovernmental Commission.
The Cuban delegation will hold working meetings with high-ranking Iranian government authorities to review the state of economic, trade and cooperation relations.
They will also meet with Iranian businessmen interested in accessing the Cuban market, Prensa Latina learnt from official sources.
The Cuban delegation includes the Minister of Energy and Mines, Livan Arronte, and deputy ministers of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment and Food Industry, Deborah Rivas and Diorgys Hernandez, respectively.
The general director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emilio Lozada, and the Cuban ambassador accredited Iran are also making up the delegation.
The meeting is scheduled to last until May 17.
