According to the daily report from MINSAP, on Thursday, all molecular biology laboratories in Cuba made 6,594 PCR tests in real time to detect the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
Of 436 active cases reported nationwide, 427 are clinically stable, while nine patients are being treated in intensive care units, including two in a critical condition and seven who are seriously ill.
At a press briefing on television, MINSAP added that 98 patients were discharged after recovering from the disease, so the total number of recovered patients rose to 1,095,369.
So far, Cuba has accumulated 1,104,393 contagions since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020.
The death toll remains at 8,529, MINSAP reported.
