In a meeting with directors and workers to exchange on challenges and projects in 2022, Mr. Marrero heaped a praise on the pivotal role of the Central Bank (BCC, in Spanish) and its entire ring in operation of other branches and in the performance of all economic actors.
This work must be done along with sciences, the Cuban prime minister stated, who called for identifying BCC experts and scientists who can manage to find out solutions to problems.
“We must increase demands and professionalism of banking system,” said Marrero, while drawing attention to continued indiscipline and complaints about bank services.
Marrero also recognized the efforts by the Cuban banks to keep vitality amid hard times in confronting the Covid-19 pandemic and as well as drawbacks imposed by the tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.
