Mr. González met with senior executives of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), whom he thanked on behalf of Cuban government for joining the media marathon to condemn the US blockade against Cuba.
The Cuban diplomat highlighted on Twitter his talks with IRIB Vice President for the Foreign Service and Executive Director of PressTV Ahmad Noroozi, as well as with the Director of the Spanish-language channel Hispantv, Ali Ejarehdar.
“I thanked both of them for their active involvement in the media marathon to condemn the US blockade against Cuba,” Mr. González live-tweeted.
In addition, the Cuban diplomat assured that “a broad program of bilateral cooperation lays ahead,” referring to what emerged from the meeting with the senior Iranian press executives Mr. González talked to.
“I appreciate international organizations and media outlets for your love to Cuba and also for broadcasting #MediaMarathon against the #Blockade for 24 hours. We send you a hug from Cuba,” the Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel tweeted.
