Directors of the Industry Ministry (MINDUS, in Spanish), headed by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, reviewed the economic results in 2021 and plans for 2022, where the country´s priority is restoring the role of domestic manufacturing and state-run entities linked to it.
Cuba´s future is a socialist state-run company, Mr. Marrero said, while praising the significance of innovation for more production, according to the Presidency´s Twitter account.
“We need to develop the industry and provide our people with products,” Marrero stated and called on MINDUS to play its leadership role in everything related to these issues.
Mr. Marrero also highlighted the significance of MINDUS leaders having a changing mentality and being able to capitalize on collective intelligence in solving problems.
Despite current difficulties and shortages in Cuba our industries have not stopped, Mr. Marrero stressed, while praising the work of those industrial workers who took on the responsibility of supplying medical oxygen amid the Covid-19 epidemic.
