The highest authority of that region, bordering Colombia, explained that meetings with Colombian businessmen are currently being held in order to pave the way for the possibility of reviving the bilateral exchange.
Bernal underlined that the intention of this kind of meetings is “to revive the trade that should never have been fractured” in the face of the existence of “men and women who want to invest and trade in Venezuela.”
The governor ratified that part of the dispositions by President Nicolas Maduro were inclined to the pedestrian commercial opening and exchange of products with Colombia, but he recalled that unfortunately, the Ivan Duque Government refused to open the diplomatic relations.
He emphasized that this kind of meetings with businessmen who want to join the commercial exchange with Venezuela and be part of the project of the Great Commercial Citadel are important.
