The entity reports on its website a meeting with members of the theater community from different regions of the country to follow up the commitment to dialogue and listening with cultural agents.

The meeting was held at the now Los Pinos Cultural Complex, former presidential residence in the Chapultepec Forest, with Culture Secretary Alejandra Frausto Guerrero, to whom representatives of the theater movement presented proposals such as the system of support for the so-called Afro-dramaturgy.

Rebeca Moreno, a play producer, commented that this is the first time that private theater entrepreneurs have had the opportunity to stage performances in collaboration with the federal Government, and it is important as part of the support in the face of the suspension of activities due to the sanitary contingency.

Composer and teacher Felix Bailon acknowledged the opening to dialogue as that presided over by Frausto and gave an extensive statement about the 51 musical groups in the country aimed at girls and boys that were organized in acute moments of the pandemic, an initiative they called “Spring of Childhood.”

The culture secretary, for her part, said that building actions in benefit of the cultural and artistic community can only be done hand in hand with the people, for which she acknowledged the interest and effort of the participants in the meeting.
